First Leeds is inviting customers to feedback on proposals for new vehicles coming into the city over the next few year
Key features that customers can feedback on include; new audio visual next stop announcements, seating and USB charging points
Local bus operator, First Leeds, is holding customer consultation events over the next month to allow its customers to feedback on the new designs and technologies that will be introduced on its new vehicles over the coming years.
First Leeds is keen to ensure it consults with its customers on the new interior features of its buses, which will include; “next stop” audio visual announcements, new seating and USB charging points.
First Leeds will be holding up to 10 events across the city throughout October and will also have an online survey available, to capture feedback from as many customers as possible.
Speaking about the events, Paul Matthews, Managing Director for First Leeds, said: “As part of our pledge to provide 284 new state-of-the-art buses for Leeds by the end of 2020, we would like to hear what features our customers would like to see on board future buses.
“Our consultation events and online survey will provide current customers with the opportunity to feedback on the latest on-board bus technologies available. The new vehicles will be fitted with Euro VI engines, which demonstrate our commitment to helping to improve the air quality across the city, as these engines produce over 90 per cent less harmful pollutants than the vehicles they replace.
“We will have up to 10 events taking place over the next month, where we will have staff on hand to listen to customer feedback on future vehicles, and we will also have an online survey available via our website. I’d urge as many customers to get involved in this unique opportunity.”
A demonstrator vehicle has recently been on display in Millennium Square, but for details on the up-coming consultation events taking place, or to complete the online survey, please visit www.firstgroup.com/leeds.
